Privacy Policy for BeadWright

BeadWright ("the app", "we") turns your photos into fuse bead patterns and helps you build them. This policy explains what the app accesses and how that information is used. In short: BeadWright collects nothing. It requests no Android permissions at all — including no internet permission — so it is technically incapable of sending your photos, patterns, or any other data off your device. We operate no servers, have no user accounts, and include no advertising or analytics.

Permissions

BeadWright declares no permissions in its Android manifest. There is no storage permission, no camera permission, and no INTERNET permission. An Android app without the INTERNET permission cannot open a network connection, which means the app has no technical ability to transmit anything anywhere.

What the app accesses

Photos you choose. To create a pattern from a photo, the app opens the Android system photo picker (or, as a fallback for photos the picker does not index, the system file picker). You pick one image; the system hands the app access to only that image. The app reads its pixels in order to compute the bead pattern.

The original photo is never stored by the app. It is not copied, moved, modified, or retained. What gets saved is the resulting pattern — a grid of bead colour numbers — plus a small thumbnail rendered from that grid. Neither contains the original image file.

What is stored on your device

All of the following live in the app's own private storage, which no other app can read:

• Your patterns (.pbn grid files) and their assembly progress (.pbp files)
• Pattern thumbnails rendered from those grids
• Pattern metadata and custom palettes (a local database)
• Your preferences, such as default palette and default grid size

Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

Exporting and sharing

When you export a pattern, the app writes a PNG or PDF into its own temporary cache and then hands it to the Android share sheet. You choose where it goes — your gallery, a messaging app, a file manager. The app itself sends nothing; anything that happens after you pick a destination is governed by that app's own privacy policy.

Device backup

BeadWright allows Android's standard system backup. If you have device backup enabled in your Android settings, your patterns and preferences may be included in the backup your device makes to your own Google account, in the same way as other apps' data. This is performed by Android and Google, not by us — we never see it, and it is covered by Google's privacy policy. You can turn device backup off in your Android system settings.

Data we do NOT collect

• We collect no personal data whatsoever.
• We have no servers, no user accounts, no login, no registration.
• We include no third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
• We do not, and cannot, sell or share your data with anyone.

Children's privacy

BeadWright collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if a future version of the app gains a feature that needs a permission. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
