Privacy Policy for ImgPlayer

ImgPlayer ("the app", "we") is a digital photo frame and screensaver that plays the photos you choose as a full-screen slideshow. This policy explains what the app accesses and how that information is used. In short: ImgPlayer keeps your photos and settings on your device and does not collect, sell, or upload your personal data to us. We do not operate any servers and have no user accounts.

What the app accesses

Your photos. ImgPlayer reads the photos you choose to add to an album, or — if you select the "All photos" source — the images in your device gallery, via the Android media permission (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES). The app stores only a reference (a URI) to your original photos; it never copies, moves, or modifies the original files, and it does not transmit your photos anywhere.

Photo metadata (date and location). If you enable the optional "show time and place" overlay during playback, the app reads the capture date and GPS coordinates embedded in a photo's EXIF metadata in order to display when and where the photo was taken.

Internet use

ImgPlayer requests the INTERNET permission for a single purpose: when the "show time and place" overlay is enabled, the app uses the Android system geocoding service (Geocoder) to convert a photo's GPS coordinates into a readable place name. On most devices this lookup is performed by the operating system / Google Play services and may transmit the coordinates to that service, whose handling of the data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. If you do not enable the place overlay, no location data leaves your device.

The app does not use this permission for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or any tracking.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect or store any personal data on external servers.
• We have no user accounts, login, or registration.
• We do not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Local storage

Album definitions and your app settings are stored locally on your device only (in the app's private storage). Uninstalling the app removes this data.

Screen casting

If you cast playback to another screen, images are sent over your local network to the display you select. This happens only while you are actively casting and involves no external server.

Children's privacy

ImgPlayer is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
